Independent organizational consultant

This has been one of the most exciting steps in both my professional and personal life. After almost eight years in People & Organization roles in three Berlin start-ups, I actively explored what I wanted to do next - work as an independent consultant & coach. My latest projects have included inspiring transformation projects in different types of organizations ranging from start-ups, public sector to social institutions. In addition, I regularly work with teams to further develop the way they work and communicate, as well as with individuals on their personal and professional development.

Selected Topics in Mediation and Conflict Management:

  • Principles and Limits of Mediation and Conflict Management

  • Psychological Background of Conflict Resolution

  • Power and Power Imbalances in Conflict Resolution

Transformation consultant @Work4Germany

Work4Germany is a program that connects the German administration with transformation enthusiasts from the private sector to learn from and with each other - for a more innovative administration. I’ve been working at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action accompanying an exciting six-month project on digitalizing their onboarding experience and introducing different concepts for new ways of working.

Following that, I agreed to extend the project to work on other internal programs to foster innovation at the Ministry. During that time, I built a modern intranet page for new starters, iterating it with live user tests and co-creating the platform with several stakeholders. Last but not least, my co-fellow and I developed a user-centric training concept for innovative ways of working in the administration, which we presented at a big internal event at the end of January. The concept was successfully implemented: we trained the first cohort, which started in November 2023 and will be completed in August 2024.

Consultancy collective focussing on DEI

We were a diverse, self-organized group of systemic organizational consultants working on potential concepts for inclusion and participation in and for organizations. This was and still is not so easy. Even though systembunt didn't work out in that setup, I continue to collaborate with the non-profit association KnowDular e.V. (www.knowdular.de) on these topics and develop tailored workshops in the DEI field.

September 2019 - June 2021
Journey to a certified systemic organizational consultant

The word “journey” is a deliberate choice here. During this time, I attended classes at the artop institute of Humboldt University Berlin on systemic organizational consulting, where I learned theoretical fundamentals while trying out different practical approaches and ultimately sharpening my profile as a consultant. It was an intense but irreplaceable period of self reflection and first-hand experience of the types of challenges that business partners face every day.

January 2014 - May 2021
People & Organization roles in the Berlin start-up scene

For most of my professional life, I worked in various People, Culture and Organization related roles - beginning as an HR Manager and culminating as Head of People. I am grateful for job opportunities full of trust that allow me to try out different things, fail, and grow professionally as well as personally. I accompanied many interesting projects related to organizational structures, employee and candidate experience, and people operations.

Corporate experience

I am privileged enough to have kicked-off my career with a job in communications in a large corporation, which has always been a valuable professional counterpart to my subsequent work in smaller, more agile start-up environments. Looking back on these early professional experiences, I especially appreciate the insights I gained from working in organizational structures like these.
